Terrapin Rye Ale Recipe

Terrapin Rye Ale Recipe

I really enjoy Terrapin’s Rye Ale, so I thought I would try making some. I found this recipe on “The Brewing Network” and it has turned out very well.

  • Appearance: The color appears to be right on with Terrapin’s Rye Ale (maybe a little darker). More creamy of a head and better head retention than Terrapin’s Rye Ale.
  • Smell: Floral and hoppy aroma from the Amarillo dry hopping. Could probably have uses 1 oz to dry hop instead of 2 oz.
  • Taste: Nice hop flavor with a rye malt flavor. The dry-hopping helped develop a crisp flavor.
  • Mouth Feel: Light body and medium carbonation
  • Drinkability: Nice drink-ability, a good session beer
